Pieter and Faith Jansen live in Uganda in Katabi in the district Entebbe. Through World Evangelism they want to live out the calling they believe God has put on their lives.
Pieter is from the Netherlands. He has a great desire to share the Word of God and the Gospel with others and to help people grow spiritually. In the Netherlands he has served in various churches for several years.
In December 2008 Pieter moved to Uganda. Before his move he had been to Uganda several times to preach and support churches. He strongly feels that God wants to use him here to preach about His Word and to help these people with their spiritual growth. A lot of Ugandan Christians don’t have a bible because it is too expensive for them to buy one. This means that they can’t read or study the Word themselves.
Pieter is married to a Ugandan woman. Her name in the Luganda language is "Kukiriza" which means "Faith". They have a daughter who is two years old. Faith feels that God called her to make His Word known in the land of her birth. Faith has various talents and areas in which God uses her. She sings, preaches, teaches and she is a church service interpreter of English to Ugandan languages. Before Pieter and Faith met, she worked with various Pastors and when speakers from America or England would come to preach she would be asked to translate.
Together they form an amazing team for God’s Kingdom!
In the Netherlands they are connected to Gemeente De Schuilplaats in Culemborg. This is Pieter’s home church. (The Pastor of this church is Pastor Hein Hüpscher.)
