WE Teach PDF Print E-mail

What:

WE Teach is our Teaching Project based on Matthew 28:19.

Why:

This is a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel with children, also on the secular schools. It is a marvelous door that God has opened for our ministry.

Where:

We hope to be active in as many areas as possible in Uganda.

Goal:

Proclaiming the gospel to the children, and to disciple them, in order that they can share with others, what they have learned. This way we take part in building the Kingdom of God.

How:

We were given the opportunity to teach Biblically at various schools. Most schools in Uganda are boarding schools where the children stay for a whole term (3 months). For that reason some schools give Pastors the opportunity to give Biblical Teaching for a set number of hours. We divide our teaching time in a section for Evangelism and a section for Bible Study.

In addition we give classes to disciple people. At this time we do that in the district of Kamuli. This means that the local churches invite people to attend a discipleship training. Trainings last two days and are held in an assigned place. We stay in the district for over a week and visit 4 or 5 places during that time, depending on how many people end up coming. The trainings are the two full days with lunch breaks in the middle of the day. Various subjects are taught on. For example: Who you are in Christ, Prayer, Baptism, the Holy Spirit.

On Wednesday and Thursday evenings we gather with a group of people, from various churches, for a small group meeting. Every week someone else teaches.

(Matthew 28:19 and Ephesians 4:11-13)
